PDFMint ("we", "us") provides an API and web tools that convert data you supply into PDF documents. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.
What we collect
- Account data: the email address you provide when creating an API key.
- Document data you submit: the JSON data or HTML you send to generate a PDF (e.g. invoice details, recipient names). This data is used only to render your PDF and is not sold or shared with third parties.
- Usage data: number of PDFs generated per billing period, to enforce plan limits.
- Custom templates: if you use Magic Templates, your description and generated template are stored against your API key so you can reuse it.
- Generated documents (Document Tracking): by default, PDFs generated via the API are stored for 30 days to power hosted view links and open-tracking, then automatically deleted. You can disable this per request by passing
"track": false, in which case the PDF is returned to you and not stored.
What we don't do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not use your document data to train AI models.
- Free web tool submissions (invoice/certificate/receipt generators) are processed to produce your PDF and are not permanently stored.
Third parties
We use the following processors to operate the service:
- Anthropic — powers the optional Magic Templates feature (your description is sent to generate a template).
- NOWPayments — processes subscription payments; we do not store your payment details.
- Railway — hosts our infrastructure.
Data retention
Account and usage data is retained while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing us.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time.
